Thank you for your interest in this exciting opportunity to work with emh group in the position of Head of Income and Home Ownership.

The successful candidate will join a solid centralised income team that focusses on reducing rent arrears working on prevention and early intervention as well as maximising income collection. We pride ourselves in achieving excellent performance year on year across the suite of income key performance indicators as well reducing numbers of evictions. Managing homelessness through key local authority partners and agencies like the DWP and community organisations is central to how we work, and with a strong commitment to collaborate.

We deliver this vision through a combination of great leadership and partnerships; working with local residents, charities based within the community, and the full range of statutory providers.

We have delivered innovative employment partnerships with the DWP and support customers with mentoring opportunities to seek work and also colleagues who have come to work for us from this initiative.

Our reputation is equally strong with our key local authorities; we work with over 40 local authorities across the East Midlands. Solid foundations are in place for the new candidate to put their own mark in place and take the service to another level. Our customers observed our income team and found the service had strong qualities of customer empathy and understanding – a strong commercial set up with a social heart.

We know that we cannot stand still and must be looking for new and innovative ways to work with communities, particularly as we are working in unprecedented and challenging times, to help us look at new ways of working. Our learning over the last few months will need to form our future delivery model.

Our financial standing is strong with continued G1 and V1 ratings, a strong development programme delivered through a strategic delivery partnership, a fantastic housing and sheltered housing service, and a super care and support arm.

Our delivery model for our wider services has been incrementally shaped over a number of years. It has successfully delivered excellent outcomes around the place and person based services.

It is time for us to look at future approaches to service delivery to continue to deliver excellent customer and business outcomes. To that end we have embarked on a modern and progressive transformation programme as well as a strong values based cultural programme reviewing our values of Integrity, Diversity, Openness, Accountability, Clarity and Excellence to be consistent with modern values and progression. We have developed our nine principles of the new ways of working for the future.

This role is part of the Housing Senior Management Team and will work closely with our Head of Housing and Neighbourhoods.
